Санкт-Петербург подготовил к Чемпионат мира по футболу FIFA 2018 масштабную культурную программу. В план культурной программы вошло 536 мероприятий, предложенных АНО «Оргкомитет «Россия-2018», Минспортом России, 11 городами — организаторами чемпионата, среди которых Санкт-Петербург, и 6 субъектами Российской Федерации, в которых запланировано размещение национальных команд и тренировочных баз.

In 2018, Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time. The championship is scheduled in 11 cities of Russia. The matches will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Volgograd, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Samara, Yekaterinburg, and Saransk. St. Petersburg has prepared a large-scale cultural program for this event. 

The "FIFA – 2018" Festival of Fans gives an opportunity to fans who do not have a ticket to the stadium, see daily live broadcasts of matches on the big screen and immerse themselves in the exciting atmosphere of the FIFA World Cup. For the first time, the FIFA fans' festival was held in 2006 during the Championship in Germany. In 2018 it will be held in 11 cities of Russia and will not only be a meeting place for Russian and foreign fans, but also one of the largest interactive events in the world. In addition to watching the football matches themselves, the fans will be able to listen to live music, chat with football stars and other honorable guests of the festival, can buy souvenirs from partners and sponsors of FIFA.
